Hey! I'm new in this forum, but I've been using diasp.org pod since... don't remember... at least since May this year. And it works great.
(don't know how are the other pods to compare)
The connection was always fast (and I'm from Buenos Aires) and just remember 2 or 3 times where it was down... so it has an excellent performance!

    Congratz!

The account for this forum is on diasp.org and I have a personal account on JoinDiaspora.com so I can compare the two if needed. We have never had any issues with diasp.org that I am aware of. I know that the occasional downtime will happen, so I am not too worried about that. If you want to compare other pods, you can check out the PodUpTi.me site.

I first tried diasp.eu but it was always down or very very slow. Then I went on diasp.org and I'm quiet satisfied with it

I put your comment into Google Translate and came back with this in English:
Diasp.org seems to have a head start on other pods. For example, it allows you to find one person on another pod and allows you to add it to their own contacts. However, there is a lack of reciprocity, the other pod fails to make the connection. Advantage or disadvantage? Advantage if one can confirm one way or another this contact, otherwise it is useless!
Well, nothing is useless if it is a feature that may come in handy in the future for all pods, no?
In Google Translate, my response in French:
Eh bien, rien n'est inutile si elle est une fonction qui peut s'avrer utile dans l'avenir pour toutes les gousses, non?
I sure hope Google Translate does a good job...

Good service. Though I've started getting some sort of invalid security certificate warning.

Make sure you look at the certs, they are normally other pods you have connections on.

This seems to be one of the best pods so far. This is what I notice so far: Scripts From: frodointernet.com, cloudfront.net (Amazon), flattr.com, youtube.com (?because of embedded)

I am on Joindiapora.org, a friend of mine on Diasp.org.

We see each others posts with hours delay and, worse, he sees my posts without pictures. Not good at all.
